1. What Pocket Pandit™ is

Pocket Pandit™ presents traditional Vedic timings, Panchang calculations, birth charts and spiritual-practice tools, computed with the Swiss Ephemeris and the Lahiri ayanamsa. It is offered for cultural, religious, personal-practice and entertainment purposes. It does not predict future events and does not provide medical, financial, legal or psychological advice. Decisions you take remain yours.

2. Accuracy

We work to keep timings accurate for your location and validate them against established Panchang sources. Differences of a few minutes can arise from your device's clock, location accuracy, atmospheric assumptions or differing traditions. Timings on the Site are approximate; the App is the reference. For ceremonies, confirm with your family Pandit.

3. Free features and advertising

The Panchang, Choghadiya, muhurat alerts, calendar, japa counter and birth chart are free. The App is supported by banner advertising. We may change, add or withdraw features.

4. Consultations ("Ask a Pandit")

• Your first question is free. Further questions are charged at the price shown in the App at the time of asking (currently ₹51, shown in your local currency where available).
• Questions are answered by a human Pandit, typically within 24–48 hours by email, or in real time via the Live Hotline where offered. Times are estimates, not guarantees.
• A consultation is guidance on timing and tradition, offered for entertainment purposes. It is not a promise of any outcome and is not a substitute for professional advice.
• We may decline or refund a question that is abusive, unlawful, outside the scope of Vedic astrology, or that we cannot answer responsibly.

5. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Razorpay or by Apple / Google in-app purchase. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. If a paid question has not yet been assigned to a Pandit, you may cancel for a full refund. Once a Pandit has begun work, the fee is non-refundable except where required by law or where we failed to deliver an answer. Purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to their refund policies. Full detail is in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate birth details for any chart or consultation; results depend on them.
• Do not use the App or Site to harass, defraud or harm anyone, or to submit content that is unlawful.
• Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or copy the App, its calculations, texts or design.

7. Intellectual property

Pocket Pandit™ and the Pocket Pandit™ logo are trademarks of SynchSoft Technologies Private Limited (Indian trade mark application no. 7876173, class 9). The App, Site, texts, interpretations and design are © SynchSoft. Planetary photography credits are listed on the Site. Swiss Ephemeris is used under licence from Astrodienst AG.

8. Availability

We aim for the App to work offline for all calculation features. Consultations, payments and the Site require connectivity and third-party services we do not control. We may suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SynchSoft is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the App, Site or any consultation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access to consultations for breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumer protections you enjoy in your country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date posted. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
