Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 18 September 2026 · SynchSoft Technologies Private Limited, Lucknow, India
This policy explains when a payment made in the Pocket Pandit™ mobile application can be cancelled or refunded. It forms part of our Terms of Use and is provided by SynchSoft Technologies Private Limited ("SynchSoft", "we").
1. What is paid for
The Panchang, Choghadiya, muhurat alerts, calendar, japa counter and birth chart are free and involve no payment. The only paid feature is "Ask a Pandit": your first question is free, and each further question is charged at the price shown in the App at the time of asking (currently ₹51, shown in your local currency where available).
2. Cancelling a question
A paid question may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before it has been assigned to a Pandit. Once a Pandit has begun work on your question, it can no longer be cancelled and the fee is non-refundable, except as set out in section 3.
3. When we refund
We refund the full fee, without you needing to ask, when:
- we fail to deliver an answer within 7 days of payment;
- we decline your question because it is outside the scope of Vedic astrology or one we cannot answer responsibly;
- you were charged more than once for the same question;
- a technical fault on our side prevented your question from being submitted or answered.
We refund on request where a refund is required by the consumer law of your country of residence.
4. When we do not refund
- A consultation is guidance on timing and tradition, offered for entertainment purposes, not a promise of any outcome. We do not refund because you disagree with an answer or because an event did not turn out as hoped.
- Answers based on birth details you supplied that later prove inaccurate.
- Questions that were abusive or unlawful, which we may decline without refund.
5. Purchases through Apple and Google
If you paid by Apple or Google in-app purchase, the payment is held by Apple or Google and refunds are governed by their policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or via Google Play support. We cannot issue those refunds ourselves, but we will confirm to Apple or Google that a refund is due where this policy says it is.
6. How refunds are paid
Refunds for payments made through Razorpay are returned to the original payment method. We initiate the refund within 3 working days of approving it; your bank or card issuer may take a further 5–10 working days to show it. Refunds are made in the currency you paid in; we are not responsible for exchange-rate differences.
7. How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account, with the date of payment and the question concerned. We reply within 3 working days.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the new version applies from the date posted and to payments made after that date.
